Community Service Program

Pikk a Book Library runs community service program in the library by inviting variousNGOs and Orphans to our library for story sessions, celebrating their birthday or organize a general social, emotional awareness program.

There are opportunities for you to volunteer, by helping with events at the library, donating or collecting donation of what is needed by the underprivileged children.

  • Celebrating festivals with homeless children like Diwali, Navratri, special days like Children’s day, World day against child labor, International Day of Education and International day of Happiness.
  • Give grocery to Orphanage
  • Create care packages with essential items
  • Donate toys and school supplies to a homeless children
  • Donate blankets to a homeless shelter
  • Host a holiday meal for those without a home
  • Donate gently used clothing and shoes

The best way to learn what we are offering and when are we inviting these kids to Pikk a Book is to get connected with us. There are a lot of tasks that are sometimes taken care by the staff and sometimes done by the volunteers.
